Police: 2 women held at gunpoint in Hardees robbery

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are looking for two masked men who robbed a restaurant in north Charlotte Monday morning.

Investigators said the men, wearing all black, walked into the Hardee's on Sunset Road just off Interstate 77 around 5:45 a.m. and pulled a gun.

The restaurant had only been opened for 35 minutes when two men burst in and held a gun to the biscuit maker's head, police said.

The manager of the restaurant was in her office and heard her employee screaming.  When she came out police said one of the robbers held a gun to her head.

They demanded to know when the safe would open.  The manager told them it was closed.

The robbers took about $250 from the cash register and ran off behind the restaurant, police said.

No one was hurt.

Police do not have a good description of the robbers because they were dressed in all black with masks.
