Police search for 2 of 3 in connection with Rock Hill homicide

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police are looking for two suspects in a shooting after a man was killed inside his apartment Tuesday night.

Police used dogs to try and track the scent of the gunmen who they said shot and killed a man at Stone Haven Apartments in Rock Hill.

Rock Hill Police said the victim, 20-year-old Jordan Poirier, lived at the apartment where he was shot.

Investigators with the Rock Hill Police Department identified three suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of Poirier.

Police said Laterrious Demonte Ashley, was shot during the exchange of gunfire. He showed up at Carolinas Medical Center - Pineville last evening for treatment of his injuries and was taken to CMC Main.

He is undergoing treatment for his injuries and remains hospitalized.

Investigators also issued murder warrants for the arrest of Desmond Lamont Cunningham and Keynan Jamal McClinton, of Rock Hill.

People living near Stone Haven Point Apartments were shocked to hear about a deadly shooting in their neighborhood.

Gunfire erupted just before 6 p.m. Tuesday at the complex off Celanese Road.

Rock Hill police arrived within minutes and found a gruesome scene inside one of the apartments.

Witnesses saw three men running from the apartment after the shots were fired.

"We've heard there were just three other black males possibly up to three black males in the area involved in the shooting," said Officer Mark Bollinger, Rock Hill Police Department.
