CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to shots being fired Wednesday in a Food Lion parking lot on WT Harris Boulevard.

Police said a suspect in a dark-colored Sedan fired rounds at another dark-colored vehicle just before 11:30 a.m.

Police released surveillance pictures of the shooting, which took place in broad daylight.

The video shows a man pointing a gun in the parking lot. One of the bullets even ricocheted off a bystander's car.

A male in a red shirt returned fire at the vehicle before both vehicles fled the parking lot, police said.
