Police: Thief cut through wall to break into Monroe businesses

MONROE, N.C. — A burglar was so determined to get inside a strip mall in Monroe, the person cut holes in the wall to do it.

The heist happened at some businesses on Roosevelt Boulevard.

The owners of a dry cleaning business and a financial business discovered the burglaries Monday.

Officers said the thief cut a hole in the wall of a vacant store next door, then went through each business, ransacking files and taking cash.
