CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Police are looking for a man accused of using a skimmer device to steal bank information.
On Friday, police released a surveillance photo of the man suspected in the crime.
A detective showed Channel 9 how small card readers can be. Thieves use pin-sized cameras to record while bankers enter their PINs, police said.
“The PIN makes it so they can easily get cash out of another ATM. They will just copy the card or counterfeit the card,” said CMPD Detective Kevin Stuesse.
Police said they are still looking for the man accused of installing the skimmer at a Huntersville shopping center.
