SALISBURY, N.C. - A man was found dead from a gunshot wound Monday night in Salisbury, according to police.
Shanta Maurice Lomax, 36, was found lying behind an apartment on East Lafayette Street.

Family members are left with many questions Tuesday morning.
They want to know who shot Lomax.
Family members said he was here visiting friends when some type of argument broke out. They said that’s when Lomax was shot.
Family members said he ran to the back of the building and collapsed which is where police found him Monday night.
Family members said they rushed to the complex when they got a call from police.
They described Lomax a loving father now they want someone to turn themselves in.
"That someone find out who done it. They need to come forward with it,” said cousin Yevette Robinson.
