Publix opens long-awaited store in Cotswold

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Publix’s growing footprint in the Charlotte market now includes a Cotswold store. The Lakeland, Fla.-based grocer welcomed the first shoppers to that 50,000-square-foot store at 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

It is located at 4425 Randolph Road.

The store is three-plus years in the making — and one of the most-requested locations for the grocer to expand, says Kim Reynolds, a company spokeswoman.

“It allows us to serve an area of Charlotte we’re not currently serving,” she says. “We still meet new customers every day.”
