Railroad worker flown to hospital after crash with train

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — A man was flown to a hospital Thursday morning from Chester County after colliding with a train in the Leeds area.

Officials told Channel 9 the 21-year-old was working for Lowram, a CSX contractor, when crashed into the train on the tracks.

Police said he was in a pickup truck on the train tracks when he fell asleep and rammed into the rear of a slow-moving train.

The train and pickup were working together on the track, officials said.

There was no word on the man's condition.
