LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix is recalling some of its Publix Premium Pancake and Waffle Mix because of the potential for salmonella.
A supplier informed the supermarket chain that milk powder used as one of the ingredients might contain the harmful bacteria, Publix said in a news release.
So far, no illnesses have been reported.
The mixes were sold in stores in North and South Carolina as well as Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.
The affected items have been removed from store shelves, Publix said.
