CHARLOTTE - A police officer said a body was found in the pool at the Woodridge Apartments on Yateswood Drive on Saturday evening.
Channel 9 spoke with two boys who found the body.
"I put my goggles on then I went under to check and see if it was a body and then I saw it was human foot," says Brian Cortes, a resident at the complex.
Neighbors say they believe the boy found 10 or 11 years old. They don't believe he lived at the complex.
The boys said the boy swam in the apartment complex pool often, but they did not know his name.
Police took the two boys to headquarters on Saturday night and questioned them.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have not released an update in this case yet and are still considering it a death investigation.
