Salisbury firefighters battle early morning house fire

SALISBURY, N.C. — Salisbury firefighters were battling a house fire in Rowan County early Friday morning.

Emergency crews responded to the fire call around 6 a.m. at a home on Rowan Mill Road near Balflour Drive.

Firefighters told Channel 9 that the fire was contained to the front bedroom and that the owner was not home at the time.

Salisbury police had the road closed for roughly and hour as firefighters tried to put out the flames.

No injuries were reported.
