Man in Rock Hill shooting dies, multiple suspects on the loose

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police are looking for three people involved in a fatal shooting, the first homicide of 2014 in Rock Hill. Shots were fired around 2 p.m. Friday not far from Cherry Park.

When police got to Cedar Grove Lane, they found a man unresponsive, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital but didn't survive.

People in Rock Hill are worried. Police said the suspects fled the scene in a Blue Mercury SUV, driving about seven minutes away, and then leaving the car on Sirrine Street.

"I hope they catch those guys," Dwayne Corraggio said. "Hopefully things get a little better around Rock Hill. Crime needs to settle down. Maybe (a bigger) budget for officers. Maybe they need more help."

Police are still investigating what led up to the deadly shooting.
