Rock Hill police searching for man in attempted ATM robbery

ROCK HILL, S.C. — A man tried to rob a person at the ATM at a bank in Rock Hill on May 25, police said.

The attempted robbery happened at Founders Federal Credit Union on South Anderson Road.

The suspect was wearing an American flag bandana around his face and a gas mask on his head, Rock Hill police said.

When the man couldn’t rob the victim, he fled to a nearby white 2014 or 2015 Kia Soul and drove off. It may have a North Carolina tag.
