Rock Hill teacher assists woman, puts out car fire

ROCK HILL, S.C. — A teacher with Rock Hill Schools assisted a woman whose car was on fire Monday afternoon.

School officials said Safety and Security Director Andrew Jones was driving to get gas when he saw a woman’s car on fire.

He then pulled over, took a fire extinguisher from the back of his truck, and put the fire out quickly.

School officials praised Jones for “doing what needed to be done.”
