Rockingham County man arrested after riding in golf cart with explosives, child

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina man was arrested after police said he was riding in a golf cart with explosives and a child.

Terry Martin faces two felony counts, including possession of a weapon of mass destruction.

Rockingham County deputies pulled the golf cart over on the main highway around 4 a.m. on Saturday.

Officials said the explosive devices were homemade and a bomb squad safely detonated them.
