SC authorities: 2 men arrested in connection with stuffed bodies in barrels

SOUTH CAROLINA — South Carolina authorities arrested a man who they said killed two people, stuffed their bodies in barrels and dumped them into a lake.

Officers tracked down John Michael Young Saturday morning and charged him with two counts of murder.

Deputies searched Young's home near Lake Hartwell on Friday and found a chain saw as well as machetes.

Authorities also arrested Shane Fisher, who they said helped get rid of the bodies.

Investigators said Young killed Tony McGinnis and Andres Mitchell in October by beating them in the head in the woods near his home.

A motive has not yet been released.
