Nobody hurt after school bus, box truck collide near Providence HS

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Emergency crews responded to a crash Wednesday morning involving a Charlotte-Mecklenburg school bus near Providence High School in south Charlotte.

The collision, between a school bus and a box truck, happened just before 7:30 a.m. on Pineville-Matthews Road, in front of the high school.

MEDIC told Channel 9 they were on the scene of the crash and that a CMS bus was involved. Nobody was taken to the hospital though.

School district officials told Channel 9 that no students were on the bus at the time of the crash.

There was no immediate word on what caused the wreck.
