MEDIC: 2 hurt in school bus crash just outside uptown Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Emergency crews were on the scene of a crash early Friday morning involving a CMS school bus just outside uptown Charlotte.

The wreck happened around 7:45 a.m. on Mint Street near Bland Street.

Police said the bus and a minivan collided and MEDIC told Channel 9 that two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. One patient was from the van and the other was a student on the bus.

The bus, No. 412, was headed to Morehead STEM Academy and was carrying five students when the wreck happened, according to CMS.

No other details surrounding the crash have been released.
