Second case of mumps confirmed at UNCC

CHARLOTTE — A second UNC-Charlotte student developed symptoms of the mumps last week and the Health Department confirmed Wednesday the student tested positive for the infection, UNCC officials said.

The student has been in isolation since last week, is no longer contagious and has been released from isolation at this point.

There were no other confirmed cases of mumps among UNCC students.
