Second vigil to be held for Cabarrus Co. teen killed in crash

CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — A second vigil is planned for a Cabarrus County teenager killed in a crash.

Katelyn Zigler, 16, died late Friday night.

She was a passenger in a car that crashed on Lower Rocky River Road in Concord.

Police said the 16-year-old driver, Grant Lucas, was speeding when he lost control.

He and another teenager have serious injuries.

Lucas could face charges.

All three were students at Hickory Ridge High School in Harrisburg.

There is a vigil planned for 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the high school.
