CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — A man was arrested Friday and charged in the death of an 11-month-old girl, according to the Chester County Sheriff's Office.
On Wednesday, Chester County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to Hardin Strait Road for an injured 11-month-old baby. When officers arrived, they found no one at the residence.
Levine Children's Hospital called the Sheriff's Office and Department of Social Services later Wednesday regarding injuries a baby girl suffered while in the care of Jeffery Todd Bradley Jr., 27, according to officials.
Officials said the baby suffered serious head injuries and died Friday afternoon. Bradley was charged in the baby's death. He is awaiting bond in Chester County Detention Center.
A spokeswoman with the Sheriff's Office said Bradley is the boyfriend of the girl's mother, but he is not the father of the child.
