CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are looking for a 76-year-old man that they believe may be in danger.
The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert overnight for John Benham.

He was last seen leaving Charlotte Douglas International Airport in a 2017 white Chevy Impala rental car.
Police believe Benham possibly left the airport and took Interstate 77 north towards Virginia.

He was last seen wearing a dark blue polo shirt, blue jeans, a white jacket, white sneakers and glasses.
Officials told Channel 9 that Benham may be suffering from dementia or another type of cognitive impairment.
