CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A southwest Charlotte community is taking a stand against crime on Saturday.
The Steele Creek area is holding a crime watch block party. The homeowner's association said the area normally sees very little crime, but recently there has been a murder and a drug raid.
Alfred Smith was killed in July on Red Hickory Lane. Police later arrested Joseph Rayfield and charged him with murder.
