Special graduation ceremony to be held for West Stanly senior whose father is sick

STANLY COUNTY, N.C. — West Stanly High School is hold a special graduation ceremony for a senior whose father is gravely ill.

Cameron Brown's father fell off a ladder a couple years ago and was paralyzed.

Brown's father had health issues and needs a transplant, but is not in any condition to receive the transplant. He was sent home to live out his final days.

The school has organized a special graduation ceremony for Brown so his father can see him walk across the stage.

The ceremony is set for Monday at 12 p.m. at the school’s auditorium.

The community is rallying to make this a special event for the family after they lost a daughter last year.

Channel 9 anchor Brittney Johnson will be at the ceremony and will have updates from the school
