CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said strong wind is to blame for a tree falling and knocking down power lines on Sharon Road early Friday morning.
The lines came down around 5:30 a.m. in front of Sharon Baptist Church and the road is closed from Bramwyck Drive to Quail Park Drive while crews work to remove the lines.
Nobody was hurt.
