SunTrust Bank adding jobs in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — SunTrust Bank is adding 60 jobs in Charlotte.

The bank is expanding its new loan center, bringing the total number of employees there to 100.

The new employees will help customers with new mortgages.

Bank officials said it's a sign Charlotte is getting more business.

“It's fantastic for Charlotte. It was down for a while, but we're starting to feel pretty bullish about mortgage activity in Charlotte,” said Bill Peele with SunTrust.

The new jobs will be added over the next three months.
