STATESVILLE, N.C. — On Wednesday night, Eyewitness News received an update on Dalton Edwards, the West Iredell football player battling liver cancer.
Edwards anticipated having surgery on Wednesday, earlier this week, but a district spokesperson told Eyewitness News the surgery was postponed.

Due to the size of the tumor, doctors want to continue to evaluate their options, but that did not stop students and staff across the county from wearing blue today as promised to support Dalton's fight.
