SWAT raid on alleged Lenoir crack house lands 2 in jail, authorities say

LENOIR, N.C. — Caldwell County authorities, including a SWAT team and an ICE unit, seized 3 ounces of crack cocaine and more than $2,300 Friday during a raid at 2343 Charlie Ridge Place in Lenoir, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Along with the crack, which has a street value of $17,820, a 2001 Chrysler was seized.

Fredrick Darius Dula and Lakesha Leeanne Deskins were charged with felony trafficking in cocaine and felony maintain a dwelling to keep/store a controlled substance.

"There is zero tolerance for a drug dealer,” Sheriff Alan C. Jones said in the release. “If you're going to distribute crack cocaine in our neighborhoods, then be prepared to face the consequences."

Authorities raided Dula’s home on May 11 as well. He was arrested and charged with drug violations and later released, wearing an electronic monitoring device.

Dula and Deskins are both in jail under a $100,000 secured bond.
