LENOIR, N.C. — A former Caldwell County middle school teacher accused of sex crimes with students was freed from jail after posting bail Friday, the day following his arrest on a new charge in an unrelated case.
Justin Biggs, who taught at Lenoir Middle School, turned himself in on a felonious restraint charge Thursday.
His bail was set at $25,000, officials said.
The Sheriff's Office said the case is not related to the previous charges brought earlier this month, in which Biggs is accused of taking indecent liberties with five students.
Biggs is due in court Tuesday.
