• Teen drives car through yard, hits home


    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Police say a 17-year-old lost control of a car Friday night at about 6 p.m. and crashed into a south Charlotte home on Furman Place.

    The car went through a planted area surrounding a tree in the yard, across the front lawn and hit the home.

    There was minor damage to the house.

    The homeowner was home at the time but wasn't injured.
