Teen ticketed after slamming into Cherryville gas station

CHERRYVILLE, N.C. — A 17-year-old was ticketed for driving without a license and another driver was ticketed for failure to yield after the teen crashed into a Cherryville gas station.

The Gaston Gazette reports the gas station suffered $25,000 damage.

The teen told police that he swerved to avoid another driver who pulled in front of him on Lincoln Highway.

No one was hurt.
