NORTH CAROLINA — A teen who lost his arm in a shark attack in North Carolina shared his experience with another shark attack victim who also lost limbs.
A shark bit Hunter Treschl in June in Oak Island.
Paul De Gelder was attacked while diving for the Navy in Australia. He spoke to Treschl as part of a Discovery Shark Week special.
De Gelder asked Treschl if he would get back in the water.
“I think so, at some point,” he said. “Not that beach, but yes, I’d like to get back in the water.”
