Teenage boy, woman shot after someone opened fire on west Charlotte home

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two people were shot early Friday morning  when someone fired several rounds into a west Charlotte home.

Officers said a teenage boy and a woman were shot around 2:30 a.m. inside a home on Avalon Avenue near Glenwood Drive.

The victims were able to drive themselves to the hospital and are expected to be OK.

No arrests have been made.
