CHERAW, S.C. — A teenager was shot in the chest during an argument on West Green Street in Cheraw, police said.
The 15-year-old male was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. His condition is unknown.
Andrew Chavis, 61, is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
Police said a witness told them Chavis and the teenager, who are relatives, got into an argument. Chavis then shot him once in the chest with a .22 magnum pistol.
