CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Duke Energy is reporting power has been restored for 6,321 customers who had their power knocked out in uptown and South End Friday.
The area impacted stretched from near Bank of America Stadium to New Bern Street.
Duke Energy said the outage was caused by damage to its equipment. It initially estimated the power would be restored by 1:45 p.m., but it appeared to come back on around 12:00 p.m.
