CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Some prescriptions could soon cost less.
Merck is now pledging to trim prices of seven medications.
These medications include high blood pressure medication prinivil and the anti-depressant remeron.
The company also says it will not raise the average price of these drugs beyond the annual inflation rate.
This comes after two other drug production companies announced they will stop raising drug prices.
Channel 9 told you earlier this month Novartis and Pfizer said they will stop raising drug prices.
In May, President Trump released a blueprint to overhaul the pharmaceutical industry and control sky-rocketing drug prices.
