Tractor-trailer involved in two-vehicle crash in Concord

HARRISBURG, N.C. — A tractor-trailer was involved in a two-vehicle wreck in Concord on Friday evening.

A retired firefighter at the scene said the tractor-trailer hit a van and then ran into a neighborhood welcome sign on Roberta Road.

The firefighter said a couple and an infant were in the tractor-trailer and four or five people were in the van, but it didn't appear that anyone suffered serious injuries.

Crews are waiting for Duke Energy to come and shut off power because the truck hit a streetlight that was sparking.

Roberta Road is closed while crews clear the scene.
