GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — All lanes were closed Friday afternoon along Interstate 85 northbound in Gaston County after officials said a truck crashed, spilling fuel.

The accident happened just beyond the 321 interchange. All three lanes blocked until the mess was cleaned up.
Crews were using sand on the road to soak up the fuel.
The interstate has since reopened.
