BALTIMORE - The trial for a man charged with murdering a Monroe teen is set for August.
On Wednesday, Michael Johnson pleaded not guilty to killing 16-year-old Phylicia Barnes while she visited family in Baltimore nearly two years ago.
Prosecutors said Johnson killed her in her sister’s apartment and then used a 35-fallon tub to move her body to a nearby river.
Johnson’s attorney said there is no evidence linking him to Barnes’ murder.
