CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are looking for the thieves they said broke into a grocery store overnight in east Charlotte and stole a gift card machine.
Detectives told Channel 9 that three people were involved in the crime at the Food Lion on East WT Harris Boulevard, near Rocky River Road.
Officers said the trio were in a Budget rental box truck and pried open the front door to get into the grocery store just after midnight.
Once they got inside, police said the suspects stole the gift card machine, and tried to steal other items that were locked up.
One of the suspects was wearing a green ski mask and another had on a blue hooded sweatshirt, according to police.
No arrests have been made.
