Troopers investigate 3-vehicle crash in Lancaster

LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. — Three vehicles were involved in a collision Friday afternoon in Lancaster County, according to S.C. Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened around 2:20 p.m.

Troopers said a 2004 Ford SUV and 1966 Chevrolet were traveling eastbound on S.C. 9 between Grace Avenue and Meeting Street. A 2000 Ford Taurus was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes and hit the Ford SUV head on.

The Ford then sideswiped the Chevrolet. The drivers of the SUV and the Taurus were flown by air for medical treatment. The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.

Troopers said the wreck is still under investigation.
