CHARLOTTE, N.C. - North Carolina Highway Patrol troopers are investigating an accident on Interstate 77 that sent one man to the hospital early Monday morning.
Troopers said the driver was travelling south around 2 a.m., hit a guardrail near Woodlawn Road, went airborne and landed in the middle of the highway.
Investigators think the man may have been drinking. He is expected to be OK.
Troopers said no charges have been filed.
