UNCC to participate in emergency-response simulation

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — University of North Carolina - Charlotte personnel will participate in a limited emergency-response simulation on campus.
 
The exercise on Wednesday at the Jerry Richardson Stadium will simulate a bomb threat during a football game.
 
The activity, which will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, will be confined to the concourse areas of the stadium and will not affect the daily operations or parking of other university employees and students.
 
No test explosions or other loud noises will take place.
 
The Charlotte Fire Department, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department bomb squad and K-9 units are participating.
