UNION COUNTY, N.C. - People in Union County are facing an 8-cent property tax increase.
WSOC-TV news partner, The Enquirer Journal, reported county commissioners told planners last week to build the budget around the increase.
The county is trying to figure out how much money should go to schools after the school board sued lawmakers.
A judge ordered the county to pay the schools $91 million.
