KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Law enforcement was involved in a standoff Friday morning at a Kannapolis motel, officials told Channel 9.
U.S. Marshals officials told Channel 9 they were trying to serve a warrant on a suspect at the Motel 6 off Lane Street, but the subject was not cooperating and was holed up inside.

The standoff ended around 1 p.m. and the person was taken into custody.
