Vehicle fire backs up traffic on I-485 inner

MATTHEWS, N.C. — A car caught fire on Interstate 485 inner near Exit 53, in Matthews, causing traffic to get backed up.

Officials said there weren't any injuries, but traffic was backed up for about 2 miles.

Chopper 9 flew over the scene of a charred pickup truck and crews pouring water on it.

One lane was blocked for emergency vehicles, but officials said lanes are now back open.
