Victim runs to neighbor for help after 2 people stabbed west of Boone

BOONE, N.C. — At least two people were stabbed Friday west of Boone in the Vilas community.

One of the victims had serious injuries but was able to get to a neighbor’s home for help.

A medical helicopter was on the scene.

Sheriff investigators are still trying to determine what happened.
