ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. — Newly released surveillance video from the Elizabethton Municipal Airport in Tennessee shows a plane with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his family on board touch down before it crashed last month.

The video shows the plane attempting to land, then an airport employee running outside after the plane passes.

A preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board said the plane then bounced twice and went airborne down the runway until it touched down a third time. The plane’s right landing gear collapsed.

Earnhardt, his wife, Amy, their 15-month-old daughter, Isla, and the family dog all escaped the plane as it burst into flames.
No one was seriously hurt.
