Vigil planned for man killed early Friday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Friends and family will hold a vigil Wednesday for a shooting victim whose killer is still on the loose.

Terrell Jones was killed at an apartment complex in southwest Charlotte early Friday morning.

Police think the shooting may be related to a fight at a nightclub.

Jones was killed just hours after telling his grandmother he was going out.

"He told me when he left, he said, 'I'll be back after awhile.' I'm just waiting there to see him. About three or four o'clock in the morning they called to tell me he was dead. I thought I was dreaming," said Angelina Anderson, Jones' grandmother.

Police said they have identified a man who was at Club 935 that night that they are calling a person of interest. They have not released that man's name or brought him in for questioning.
