Wadesboro man gets 17 years for selling cocaine

WADESBORO, N.C. — A Wadesboro man will serve 17 and a half years in prison after he sold cocaine in Anson and Union counties.

Adrian Parker is the last of 10 people to be sentenced. They all were charged in 2010.

Wadesboro police handed the case over to an FBI task force so the issue of gang activity in the town could be addressed.

Gang activity has been a concern lately in Wadesboro after two men were shot and killed at a home last week.

Investigators said the deaths of Marcus Allen and Jerry Rorie on Salisbury Street were gang hits.
